The Project On Government Oversight (POGO)

The Project On Government Oversight (POGO) was founded in 1981. It is a nonpartisan independent watchdog that advocates ‘good government’. POGO conducts investigations into corruption, misconduct, and conflicts of interest with a view to achieving ‘a more effective, accountable, open, and ethical federal government’.

POGO seeks to identify systemic corruption, undue influence, or other misconduct impacting the federal government. it launches independent investigations into cases that meet pogo guidelines, and works with whistleblowers and other insiders to ‘investigate tips and document findings’. It informs media and the public of its findings and works with government officials ‘to implement systemic policy improvements’.
