Oxfam International

Oxfam international is the umbrella body for 17 organizations (affiliates) working in over 90 countries to overocme poverty and what it considers as injustice in different parts of the world. A key key Oxfam objective is to enable people to exercise their rights and manage their own lives. Oxfam works directly with communities and seeks to influence the powerful, to ensure that poor people can improve their lives and livelihoods and have a say in decisions that affect them. Affiliates work together internationally to achieve  greater impact through collective action.

Oxfam campaigns and projects focus on: women’s rights, food for all, sustainable agriculture, climate change; health, education and aid; arms control and people’s rights during times of conflict and disaster.
