Dr Priya Chacko is a Senior Lecturer in International Politics in the Department of Politics and International Studies at the University of Adelaide where she teaches courses and supervises research on foreign policy and South Asian politics. She previously held positions at the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa and Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. Her current research projects focus on the impact of market reform on India’s foreign policy and social policy and the intersection of Hindu nationalism, populism and neoliberalism in Indian politics and policy making. She is the author or Indian Foreign Policy: The Politics of Postcolonial Identity from 1947 to 2004 (Routledge 2012) and editor of New Regional Geopolitics in the Indo-Pacific: Drivers, Dynamics and Consequences (Routledge 2016).
