A majority are touristy shops, with marked up prices to match, but it was wonderful that there wasn't a single corporate chain store or restaurant anywhere. There are restaurants for lunch/dinner, coffee/tea shops for snacks and souvenir shops for shopping. Lots of stores and restaurants. I recommend the restaurant Cochon Dingue for dinner and Bistro Sous Le Fort for dinner. Cobblestones, lots of people, tight quarters, cute shops.Walking around is beautiful and a true walk back in time...It makes me sad that every store is a trinket store of tourism attractions.Petit Champlain is one of the greatest parts of tourist Quebec! I really wanted to come here during Christmas time and was so happy I was able to achieve that. Very romantic. Bold statement? The neighborhood was tiny but had so much charm and color it was hard not to love despite its bustling alleyways.Definitely a beautiful area to visit. Hard to miss.Tourists like myself does enjoy touristy friendly area. The shops were okay. Lots of souvenir shops, restaurants, pretty murals. In the winter, Quartier Petit Champlain turns into a magical fairyland decked out … Some activities have reopened and some locations are ready to welcome you. :) So charming, lots of cute boutiques and shops. This is the area where you can ride the Funicular up to Upper Town Quebec City and vice versa.A super charming tourist area!
