Christopher LaRoche is a Fellow at the Trudeau Centre for Peace, Conflict, and Justice at the Munk School for Global Affairs and a PhD candidate in the Department of Political Science, University of Toronto. He work on geopolitics, military intervention, and international legitimacy. His dissertation examines how great powers use geopolitical elements of world politics, like spheres of influence, to legitimize their military interventions and delegitimize others. He also works on humanitarian intervention, international political theory, and historical international relations and his work has appeared in journals such as European Journal of International Relations and International Theory.
